Pool Puppies

Now that it is 800 degrees here in Vegas, we have been spending our weekends by the pool. Our friends Cookie and Wally have been nice enough to invite us and our chubby bassets over to swim at their house.

Gus and Violet are not big swimmers. In fact, they hate the water. They don't like pools, baths, rain, sprinklers, or when their ears fall in the water bowl as they are trying to get a drink. Because it was soooo hot outside, we had to dunk the puppies in the pool to make sure they stayed cool.

Gus didn't mind but I think Violet was a little pissed

Ashley and Brandon brought their dog Butters over. Butters is the complete opposite of Gus and Violet when it comes to water. He is so obsessed with it he tries to swim in his water bowl.

There is one dog who hates the water even more than G & V. Dahlie, Cookie and Wally's dog, was content to spend the afternoon coming out to see what was going on and then heading back inside to the air conditioning.

That look says, "Please, please don't put me back in the pool!!"

just hoping that Matt will let her out of the pool

After a few long hours in the sun and some delicious BBQ, thanks to Cookie, it was time to head home. It was a long fun day and we were all exhausted.

Chicago

This past weekend we took a trip to Chicago to see Mike, spend the day with Grandpa Lisowski, and go to the annual Lisowski Family Party.

We got in Thursday and spent the night walking around Navy Pier. We stood outside of a bar with a hundred other eager Chicagoans waiting to see if Lebron James was going to sign with the Bulls (he picked Miami, boo!)
